Il filo e il birraio 

Spesso ci si chiede quale sia il filo conduttore di una mostra in cui sono presenti opere realizzate da tanti artisti anche di nazioni diverse che si esprimono con tecniche differenti rappresentando soggetti astratti, concettuali o figurativi  contrastanti tra loro.

Il bersaglio, celebre gioco enigmistico, consiste nel collegare tante parole disposte su anelli concentrici seguendo un percorso rispondente ad alcune semplici regole:

• La parola può essere un anagramma della parola che la precede.
• Può essere un sinonimo o un contrario della parola precedente.
• La si può ottenere aggiungendo o togliendo o cambiando una lettera della parola precedente.
• Può trovarsi unita alla parola precedente in un detto, in una similitudine, in una metafora o per associazione d’idee.
• Può formare, unita alla precedente, il nome di una persona celebre o di un luogo famoso reale o immaginario.
• Può trovarsi associata alla parola nel titolo o nella trama

Sulla base di queste regole “l’arte gotica” e la “frutta” sono unite

L’arte gotica – grattacielo – Empire – Empireo – cielo – ciclo – successione – trionfo – fornito – dotato – Dotto – nano – nono – IX – il – articolo – colorati – tinti – Tintin – fumetto – furetto – furbetto – sciocco – schiocco – frusta – frutta

Similmente al collegamento sopra descritto, nella mostra SINTESI 2021, Dialoghi sulla Contemporaneità, proponiamo ai visitatori le opere degli artisti suddivise in due sezioni. Una sezione in cui il filo conduttore, delle opere “dialoganti” tra loro, è svelato nel modo più palese con una cadenza ritmata, come il vitale battito del cuore, di un contraddittorio fatto di domande e risposte, deduzioni e controdeduzioni. L’altra sezione, che sicuramente, dato il mistero, sarà quella che desterà maggiore curiosità, emula ciò che in letteratura, Andrea Camilleri, ha fatto nel suo romanzo “Il birraio di Preston”, dove i capitoli non sono pubblicati nell’ordine cronologico, ma in caos circolare che può diventare chiaro al termine della lettura, quando ogni tassello si collocherà al giusto posto.  Per questo il visitatore diventerà imprescindibile nel dialogo tra le opere in quanto protagonista di quella mediazione necessaria, affinché la logica dia ordine al caos.

The wire and the brewer 

We are often wondering what is the leitmotif of an exhibition in which there are works created by many artists which are also coming from different nations and who express themselves with different techniques by representing abstract, conceptual or figurative subjects that contrast with each other.

The “word association” game consists in connecting many words following a path that responds to some simple rules:

• The word can be an anagram of the preceding word.
• It can be a synonym or an opposite of the previous word.
• It can be obtained by adding or removing or changing a letter of the previous word.
• It can be joined to the previous word in a saying, in a simile, in a metaphor or by association of ideas.
• It can form, together with the previous one, the name of a famous person or of a real or imaginary famous place.
• May be associated with the word in the title or storyline

Based on these rules “soda” and “peace” are connected

Soda – sprite – fairy – tinkerbell  – Peter Pan – pans – naps – siesta – fiesta – car – arc – war – peace

Similarly to the associated words described above, in the exhibition “SINTESI 2021, Dialogues on Contemporaneity” we offer visitors the works of the artists divided into two sections. One section is that one in which the leitmotif of the works, which are “dialoguing” with each other, is revealed in the most obvious way with a rhythmic cadence. The same rhythm of a vital beating heart, of a contradictory made of questions and answers, deductions and counter-deductions. The other section, which considering the mystery, will be the one that will arouse more curiosity, emulates what Andrea Camilleri did in literature in his novel “The Preston Brewer”, where the chapters are not published in chronological order , but in circular chaos that can become clear at the end of the reading, when each piece will be placed in the right place. For this reason the visitor will become essential in the dialogue between the works as the protagonist of that necessary mediation, so that logic gives order to chaos.

Shakespeare, gli eroi e la tragedia

Sono trascorsi 13 anni dalla prima edizione di Sintesi che è nata dalla volontà di avvicinare far condividere ed unire: città, culture, società, artisti, emozioni, distruzioni, gioie, dolori, sogni come in una grande tragedia shakespeariana popolata di gente comune ed eroi che ci lasciano messaggi inattaccabili dal tempo che scorrerà. In tutto questo la modernità e l’innovazione, che la contemporaneità introduce nell’arte, ha l’effetto dirompente delle rivoluzioni fatte dalle minoranze che scardinano l’antico potere della maggioranza, arroccata sulla montagna della ripetitività e della noia. I paesi che riconoscono merito e valore alla “proposta rivoluzionaria” della minoranza sono destinati a divenire faro della modernità.  Inizialmente il progetto era dedicato principalmente agli artisti turchi e italiani che Sintesi ha ospitato nei primi tempi  per poi avere successivamente anche rappresentanti  di altri paesi, tanto per citarne alcuni: Alba Amoruso, Oktay Anilanmert, Zahit Büyükişliyen, Roberta Coni, Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu, Cristina Fornarelli, Massimo Franchi, Davide Frisoni, Devabil Kara, Fevzi Karakoç, Alexander Jakhnagiev, Ivan Jakhnagiev, Laura Migotto, Kristina Milakovic, Irfan Okan, Claudio Orlandi,  Barış Sarıbaş, Maria Rosaria Stigliano…

L’evento, che nel tempo si è svolto in città differenti, Istanbul, Mersin, Erzurum, Firenze, Bursa, città di grande tradizione culturale e storica, torna in questo 2021 a Roma nella prestigiosa ambientazione del Museo Crocetti. Quest’anno, gli artisti, faranno interagire tra loro le opere presentate, al fine di generare sul tema della contemporaneità, il dialogo.

Il dialogo tra opere ed artisti è quanto di meglio si possa auspicare per accompagnare le nazioni nel faticoso cammino di uscita dalla pandemia del Covid.

Sintesi 2021 saprà certamente soddisfare le aspettative degli appassionati visitatori che torneranno a respirare l’atmosfera positiva e propositiva degli eventi in cui è possibile “toccare con mano” le opere esposte per di più nel luogo che è stato atelier del grande scultore, del 900 italiano, Venanzo Crocetti

Shakespeare, heroes and tragedy

13 years have passed since the first edition of Sintesi, which was born thanks to the desire of bringing, sharing and uniting together: cities, cultures, societies, artists, emotions, destructions, joys, pains and dreams. The same as in a great Shakespearean tragedy populated by ordinary people and heroes that leave us messages that cannot be attacked by the passing of time. In all of this, the modernity and innovation, which contemporaneity introduces into art, has the disruptive effect of the revolutions made by minors that unhinge the ancient power of the majority, perched on the mountain of repetitiveness and boredom.

Countries, which recognize merit and value to the minority’s “revolutionary proposal”, are destined to become a beacon of modernity. Initially the project was mainly dedicated to Turkish and Italian artists, that Sintesi hosted in the early days, and then later it had also representatives from other countries. Just to name a few of the artists: Alba Amoruso, Oktay Anilanmert, Zahit Büyükişliyen, Roberta Coni, Gürbüz Doğan Ekşioğlu, Cristina Fornarelli, Massimo Franchi, Davide Frisoni, Devabil Kara, Fevzi Karakoç, Alexander Jakhnagiev, Ivan Jakhnagiev, Laura Migotto, Kristina Milakovic, Irfan Okan, Claudio Orlandi, Barış Sarıbaş, Maria Rosaria Stigliano …

The event, which over the time was organized in different places, such as: Istanbul, Mersin, Erzurum, Florence and Bursa (city of great cultural and historical tradition), for the year 2021 is returning in Rome in the prestigious setting of the Crocetti Museum. This year the artists will make the presented works interacting with each other, in order to generate a dialogue over the theme of contemporaneity.

The dialogue between works and artists is the best that can be hoped in order to led nations on the tiring path to exit the Covid pandemic.

Sintesi 2021 will certainly be able to satisfy the expectations of passionate visitors, who will return to breathe a positive and proactive atmosphere of the events, in which it is possible to “touch with hands” the exhibited works, and what is more important in the location that was the studio of Venanzo Crocetti, the great Italian sculptor of the 20th century.

Un asterisco per

“SINTESI 2021 – Dialoghi sulla contemporaneità”

*Sono passati parecchi mesi dal “global stress-test” determinato dal COVID-19, sviluppatosi nell’ ”annus horribilis“ 2020.

Oltre agli appuntamenti de “La Biennale di Venezia” sino al resistente e resiliente “Premio Sulmona” 2020, varie rassegne hanno accolto la ripartenza dell’arte.

Questa mostra con la pubblicazione del catalogo ha il pregio di assicurare una memoria su artisti e artiste, provenienti da varie latitudini, in continua attività.

Sono stati presi in considerazione vari segmenti, dalla fotografia alla grafica, dalla pittura alla scultura, dalla ceramica alla digital-art e altro ancora, tra nomi storicizzati, consolidati ed emergenti.

Non è mai scemata la soglia della creatività; l’arte, nei momenti di crisi, segnala algoritmi di passioni e interessi simbolici, metaforici, allegorici.

Gli artisti e le artiste, motivatamente, hanno puntualizzato e precisato movimento di idee, concetti in azione, dottrina di messaggi innovativi.
Insomma, la voglia di produrre è inestinguibile; conciliare arte e vita è possibile, perché l’arte, nel dettato della vita, è solco essenziale.

Frammenti preziosi dell’umanità invisibile ci fanno ricordare che l’arte è azione pedagogica, oltre a manifestarsi come un canale viatico dell’esistenza, nonché conforto analitico ed energica fonte di sicurezza per sfidare il futuro.
Riuscire a considerare i “sentimenti” dei mesi passati sta a significare che è d’interesse riflettere su ciò che ha prodotto e rivelato questa pandemia mondiale ed appare, così, una parabola dello status dell’arte italiana con nuove frontiere visive.
Gli artisti hanno voglia d’incontrarsi e le loro sensibilità sostanziano tremila ragioni ed esplorano “le variegate identità del mondo”; da sodali, svegli e acuti “viaggiatori dell’anima” hanno desiderio di ritrovare concrete centralità di ricerca.
Motivi di coscienza, declinati in vari codici linguistici, rilanciano il circuito autentico dell’arte.
L’arte è anche vicenda formativa, incentivo dell’esistenza, appoggio analitico.
Visionare e “frequentare” le opere di artisti può essere verifica degli andamenti estetici e di profili di rinascita.
La ripresa dell’arte è indirizzo a riequilibrare la nostra visione del mondo, alterata dalla pandemia sofferta.
Questo giro di orizzonte ha rimesso in gioco adesioni, analisi, stime, valutazioni.
La variegata esposizione presenta diversi valori in campo, tra influenze analitiche e riprogrammate frontiere visive.
E’ possibile notare segmentazioni, inquadrature, campiture, segnature, segni, segnacoli, sottolineature, striature, plasticità, incisioni, luci, tagli, angolazioni, purezze, concrezioni materiche, pulsazioni informali, elevate astrazioni e tutto ciò diventa ventaglio visivo, che sostanzia “dialoghi sulla contemporaneità”
Sensibilità e identità sono inserite in una teoria d’ ”esprit” e l’operazione raduna cuori vibranti e menti battenti; umanissimi distingui intercettano un “idem sentire” volto al destino in forse e al futuro incerto.
Il nostro presente, proiettato in una nuova dimensione sociologica, comunque, prosegue tra responsi di scienza, atti di coscienza, caparbia e testarda resilienza, e tanto cuore.
Uno “stop” c’è stato, ma, si sa, il futuro è fatto a scale.

*Several months have passed since the “global stress-test” determined by COVID-19, which broke down in the “annus horribilis” 2020.
Various reviews have welcomed the restart of art in addition to the events of “La Biennale di Venezia” up to the resistant and resilient “Sulmona Award 2020”.

This exhibition, with the publication of the catalog, has the merit of ensuring a memory of the artists coming from various latitudes and which are constantly working.
Various segments were considered, from photography to graphics, from painting to sculpture, from ceramics to digital-art and more, including historicized, consolidated and emerging names.

The threshold of creativity has never diminished; art, in moments of crisis, is showing a symbolic, metaphorical and allegorical passions and interests.
Artists have pointed out and specified the “movement of ideas, concepts in action, doctrine of innovative messages”.

In short, the desire to produce is inextinguishable; reconciling art and life is possible, because art, in the dictates of life, is an essential path.
Precious fragments of invisible humanity remind us that art is a pedagogical action, the manifestation of the viaticum of existence, as well as an analytical comfort and an energetic source of security to challenge the future.

Being able to consider the “feelings” of the past months means that it is interesting to reflect on what this global pandemic has produced and revealed, and thus appears a parable of the status of Italian art with new visual frontiers.
Artists want to meet and their sensibilities produce three thousand reasons and explore “the varied identities of the world” and as “travelers of the soul” they desire to rediscover concrete centrality of research.

Motives of conscience, declined in various linguistic codes, relaunch the authentic circuit of art.
Art is also a formative event, an incentive for existence and an analytical support. Viewing and “attending” the works of artists can be a verification of aesthetic trends and profiles of rebirth.

The revival of art is aimed at rebalancing our vision of the world, altered by the pandemic which we suffered.
This turn of the horizon has brought back subscriptions, analyzes, estimates and evaluations.

This varied exhibition presents different analytical influences and visual frontiers.
It is possible to notice segmentations, frames, backgrounds, signatures, signs, markers, underlinings, streaks, plasticity, engravings, lights, cuts, angles, purities, concretions of matter, informal pulsations, high abstractions and all this becomes a visual range, which substantiates ” dialogues on contemporaneity “.
Sensitivity and identity are embedded in an “esprit” theory and the operation gathers vibrant hearts and beating minds; very human distinctions intercept an “idem feeling” aimed at an uncertain destiny and at an uncertain future.
Our present, projected into a new sociological dimension, is however flowing between responses of science, acts of conscience, stubborn resilience, and a lot of heart.
There was a “stop”, but, you know, the future is made up of stairs.
