      POSITANO: Once upon a time there was a place where wine was bought and sold.  This at the turn of the century. That place became “IL GROTTINO” as we affectionately call it in Positano. A meeting place to dine and converse on the part of locals and increasingly larger numbers of our foreign guests. Known for its cuisine alla “casareccia” it is noted as well as a destination for artists near and far to meet and eat.

    Last night under the tutelege of its creator Antonino D’Urso the “WINTER WINE BAR” at the Restaurant Grottino was offficially launched. Brilliantly conceived and executed the evening brought lovers of wine, delicious o’deouvres, and good conversation together starting at 6:00PM and lasting until midnight.

    This first night experience will be continued every evening throughout the winter season and brings a welcome new social scene to Positano for all to participate in.

    Wines of diverse labels and vintage are available at moderate prices along with the “tartine” snacks hot and cold and all quite delicious.
