PRAIANO WHEN THE ANGELS WERE CAST FROM PARADISE

It was the 5th of August 1970, a black day in paradise when Carol Lubrovico the actress associated with The Living Theatre and William Berger, motion picture actor were arrested along with twelve friends ,all non-italian actors, writers and poets  in their villa in Praiano, “LA CASA DEGLI ANGELI”- “THE HOUSE OF THE ANGELS” where they had been living in joy and peacefulness with all around them. A commando (blitz) of 30 policemen (in some parlamentari records of the epoch more than 100 police are mentioned) found 0.9 grams  of marijuana.
 
Carol Lubrovico was interred at the Hospital for the Criminally insane in Pozzuoli, where she suffered an appendicitis  attack attributed to drug dependency. After two months of pain and suffering she was transferred to the Hospital for Incurable diseases in Napoli where she subsequently died of Peritonitis on October 14th 1970.
 
After a year the judicial trial for posession of drugs found all parties to be innocent! No one was there to pay for Carols death or burial. Today her remains are said to be found in the cemetery of Praiano, but there not a tombstone or a grave to her remembrance.
