A RESTRAINING ORDER FOR THE MULINO D´ARIENZO

Directed to the proprietors of the Mulino D’Arienzo a restraining order was issued by the Ministry of Beni e Attivi Culturali. Requested by Mayor Domenico Marrone several months ago the order imposes restrictions on how work might proceed on the site.

Constructed in the 16th Century and renovated in the twentieth by the Russian writer Mikhail Semenov, the property saw as his guests such notables as Diaghilev, Stravinsky, Picasso, Massine, Clavel, Marquardt and many others including  some of the greatest Russian artists and writers of that generation.
