POSITANO:
Vallone Porto is known in the World but not in Positano. The extraordinary beauty and naturalistic importance of Vallone Porto is receiving yet another recognition this time from the Dutch Film Foundation.
Under the direction of Elizabeth Rocha Salgado a Brazilian filmmaker and Martijn Smits of Holland final scenes will be accomplished before the controversial intervention of works deemed less than necessary by environmental groups that could forever alter the appearance and naturalistic importance of the Valley Porto, Positano.
We are speaking about Positano not the Brazilian Rain Forest, not somewhere far away where once the damage is done we shake our heads and ask "how could this happen". We are talking about our own beautiful backyard. Kept that way up to now free from assault and absurdity by Gianni Menichetti. Artist, Writer, Poet and Naturalist.
The film will highlight the nature, the animals and the art of Gianni Menichetti companion of the internationally famous Australian artist Valli Myers. Valli Myers the subject of an extraordinary book written by Menichetti and acclaimed and distributed worldwide.
Both filmmakers have already spent 11 days with Menichetti and will complete filming in the next few weeks.
THERE WILL BE AN EXCURSION WITH REFRESHMENTS INTO THE VALLEY ON FEBRUARY 10th TO ACQUAINT ALL WHO MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THESE LOCAL TREASURES ABOUT TO BE ALTERED FOREVER IF WE DO NOT ACT TOGETHER TO HALT THE PLANNED INTERVENTION.
